For Singles, French Braids, Sew-Ins, and Faux Locs

Before we get started, I want to take a moment to celebrate our FIRST BLOG POST! I am excited to share my decades of knowledge about braiding, hair care, and styling with you all. We will be posting at least once a month, giving you all the tips and answers to all your hair questions and concerns.

With that being said, it is only right that my first blog be dedicated to one of the most asked questions I get from new and returning clients. What hair will I need for my appointment and how many packs do I need to buy? So, here is a guide for all the styles that we offer with all the products you'll need for the service to take place.

Did You Know We Sell Hair For Better Prices Than Your Neighborhood Hair Store?

Singles

This style stumps most people and rightfully so, I mean if you're not braiding your hair or a stylist why would you need to know how many packs and what type of hair is needed. No worries, after 30 years of braiding I've got this information down to a science.

Please note that each pack of braiding hair comes with 3 bundles so when we way 1 pack that means 1 package of 3 bundles. This is exclusive to braiding hair and not extensions, human hair, or synthetic wavy hair.

Traditional Singles

Traditional singles are a tried and true classic, though not as popular as its new rendition, knotless singles, but it is still an important one to discuss.

For this style, you'll need the following hair:

Standard Braiding Hair

(pre-stretched)

Small: 3 packs

Medium: 4 packs

Large: 4 packs

Jumbo: 5 packs

Knotless Singles

I guess these are being referred to as Zoe Kravtiz braids. Us braiders know that human hair singles have been around for ages and are the perfect option if you want your braids to look like it's your hair. They typically come in 2 sizes, small and micro.

For this style, you'll need the following hair:

Human Hair

(wavy or curly)

Bohemian Braids (human hair or synthetic wavy hair)

Bohemian braids, mermaid braids, boho braids, or gypsy braids...they are all the same thing, knotless braids with loose hair added.

We recommend using human hair to avoid tangles and it makes the style last longer.

For this style, you'll need 2 types of hair:

Braiding Hair + Human Hair

Small: 2 packs of human hair + 3 packs of braiding hair

Medium: 2 packs of human hair + 4 packs of braiding hair

Large: 2 packs of human hair + 4 packs of braiding hair

Jumbo: 2 packs of human hair + 5 packs of braiding hair
